The Road to Nashville......
Over the last year, singer/songwriters Nick Smith and Amanda Allen have made a mark on music row with their ability to wow an audience with their voices and entertainment. A country boy at heart, Nick grew up in the rural community of Enville, Tennessee, and dreamed of the day he would make the move to the sound streets of Nashville. He was originally part of a popular college band known as Southern Variety. They created the band in the summer of 2005 and played a variety of college towns in Alabama for almost 4 years until Nick decided to move to Nashville. "I grew up on all the classics from Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Alabama to today's artists like Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, and Toby Keith. Country music was an essential part of my life growing up. Its who I am."
Amanda, the sweet, lovable bombshell from North Augusta, South Carolina, melts hearts with the powerful tone of her voice and playful personality on stage. Amanda received a bachelor's degree in classical vocal performance from studying at Belmont University and Charleston Southern University. She has traveled extensively, performing in numerous stage and concert productions in the United States, Italy, England, and Scotland. Although Amanda received her degree in classical/operatic vocal studies, she has had professional experience performing a range of genres including: Country, Jazz, Pop/Rock, Musical Theater, Gospel and Worship music. Amanda has been a vocal director and performer of a show for Dollywood Entertainment. Most recently, she spent some time out on the west coast performing as a female lead country/rock vocalist in places such as Vegas, Phoenix, Reno, and Sacramento.
Driven by a strong desire to succeed, faith in God, and a willingness to learn, Nick and Amanda are determined to conquer the rollercoaster ride of the music industry and in life. They met in September of 2010 while doing a show at the Legendary Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville, Tennessee where they immediately knew that their blend of vocals and chemistry on stage was something special. Since that day they have been a part of Tootsies 50th anniversary party where Amanda sang at the famous Ryman Auditorium for artists such as Kris Kristofferson, Terri Clark, Randy Houser, Jamie Johnson, Lorrie Morgan, and others. Nick and Amanda have also had the privilege of playing at the Grand Ole Opry. Also, this duo has had songwriter rounds with Sam Tate (songwriter of the year for "Going through Hell": Rodney Adkins) and Tom Sheppard (hits "Private Malone": David Ball, "Redneck Yacht club": Craig Morgan). Now known as the duo SAVANNAH, Nick and Amanda have done over two hundred shows this year alone from Tennessee to Florida, and they are currently working on a major record deal. With their talent and energy, it won't be long until the whole country will know SAVANNAH.
